Dreamweaver 8 - Closing for particular users

I've got a working copy of Dreamweaver 8, but for some users it will not run. It loads and the splash screen is displayed but then the program just closes. Any ideas?

 

I've tried deleting the 'Macromedia' folder within My Settings but this hasn't made a difference.

 

Any other ideas?

Hi,

 

This is generally when the drive on the server where the users work / settings/ profiles are stored doesnt have enough space i.e. if you are on an RM Network you would make sure that the D: drive (or H: if its 2003) and make sure there is plenty of space.

 

This solved the problem for me.

Not tried yet. Space is not the issue though, I know that. I've edited the registry for the person and will test soon.

Might be worth trying to reset their user areas - this very occasionally happens for me and that seems to do the trick along with deleting the macromedia folder from My Settings if needed.

We have had this issue a couple of time and deleting the user profiles from the machine has sorted the problem.

I have also seen issues with adobeware and redirected app data folders. Basically the redirected path hits the unc max chars limitation so adobeware cant put hte proper files in the proper place. If they say had longer usernames/paths then working users then thats a possible.
