I have one at home that I use to watch DVDs on, it cost around £200. It sits on the floor or one side of my lounge and projects on to the wall the other side. My lounge wall slopes inwards and curves somewhat, so I don't know how well it really copes with keystone issues on a flat wall. It doesn't do full VGA resolution, but is fine for DVD. It is quite dim - I have to turn all the lights off to watch it. It gets too hot in operation to hold, but seems to run the length of a DVD okay, and you can mount it to a standard tripod. I'd say more of a gimmick than a useful tool right at the moment. -- David Hicks 1

enjay Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Tough choice with those two - I favour 3M as a brand, but the Optoma one is brighter. That could be perfect proof of the build quality though - if they can make a brighter projector for less, it makes you wonder what corners they cut... 1
