ryanster Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I have a dir-655 router that wont let me forward any ports. I put in the application name and the port in both the tcp and udp boxes. Then I put my ip address in the ip address box. After i check the box and press save. After the reboot all the settings are gone. The router wont save anything I try. Can anyone help?
localzuk Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Are you using static IP addresses for the machine you're trying to forward to? I've heard that the DIR-655 requires that to be the case for port forwarding to work.

tom_newton Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Looks like it is not static. To test the theory, try adding a port-forward to some IP outside the router's DHCP scope - you may need to reduce the DHCP scope first, say to twice as many addresses as you have need for? Tom
