Decent classroom alert system

Hi all,

 

Can anyone recommend a decent classroom alert system?

 

I'm looking for software that sits on all PCs and allows the teacher to quickly alert admin staff of any issues during lessons (bad behaviour of students in general).

 

I've inherited something called FIDAM by Bromcom, which seems to be very unstable, very old and no longer supported.

 

We are SIMS users but I don't think they provide functionality such as this.

could you not create a batch file to be double clicked on using

simple free and easy to deploy using startup script to xcopy to local machines desktop

net send %computername% help in my classroom

 

EDIT: that does require them to pay attention to the screen tho!

We use panic deivces at our PRU that sends wireless signal to a box in the Administrative area. Not really linked to the computers but still works as an alert device for emergencies

IIRC a member created a little program that does this, I have no idea who or what it was called, I slept since then.

I've only managed to find a couple of off-the-shelf solutions - "Notify" from NetSupport is probably the best i've come accross and would cost us under £200.
