Audio Setup for Digital Signage System

Hey

We have set up a DIY digital signage system in the Dining Hall but now we have been requested to add audio to this system.

The system is A standard Desktop with WinXP powering 4 tvs via VGA splitter

I was thinking of getting a Simple Stereo Amp and two speakers to connect via coax or optical.

does this sound right? recommendations on amp and speakers not been given a budget but would like to keep it quite low £200 maybe

How have you set up audio for you digital signage systems?

What about something in M-audios studiophile range? Powered so no need for a seperate amp, just hang them and set the gain.

I've just bought a couple of these:

They work with speakers that you attache with speaker wire.

Are all the 4 TVs in the same room?

What kind of distance are they from the PC?

Do the TV's have speakers built in?

What will the speakers be used for? i.e. music, announcements, general tv programs etc

3 of the TVs are in the Dining hall 1 TV is in reception about 30m from the dining hall

the 3 TVs in the dining hall are around 10m from the PC reception is about 40m

all TVs have speakers built in.

the audio is going to range from music, TV programs, announcements what what ever else staff can think of.

Do you think the speakers within the TV's would be adequate?

If so why not just do the same with the audio and run in long audio links from the pc?

Would probably cost peanuts to this yourself or I would imagine under £200 to get someone in.
