Printing

We are currently in review of the printing situation at our place and at our 6 HQ sites we are looking to implement a fully managed network printing solution. At the moment printers are either locally connected or locally connected to network printers. We have just had a printing budget come in for some £100k plus for some 120 sites we look after. We are looking to implement print servers which we don't have at the moment and as we take on more hot desking been able to print to a printer without the hassle is important.

 

Between the 6 sites we have some 100 printers with 3 or 4 network copiers/scanners. Our aim is to reduce printers and we have Senior Management on board.

 

We have invited various companies in to show us what they have and can do etc, so far we have had Xerox and OKI in, we have a meeting with Kyocera and Insight/HP (they were hard to get hold of!!), any other companies that anyone recommends?

 

We are looking around for a good deal, things like PIN management is a must for confidentiality etc, must be network, able to be controlled easily.

Find out about safecom pull printing - my last work place had it and it was easy to manage, reliable, and great to use.
