Smartboard re-calibrating

I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. We are using ceiling mounted projectors with our wall mounted Smartboards on the ground level of our building and it appears the vibration from the ceiling as well as the vibration of the high traffic outside makes the Smartboard unresponsive. So we are continously re-cabibrating. It is truly frustrating when the teachers are in the middle of a lesson asnd a truck goes by. Does anyone have a solutions.

It could just be that the calibration is not saved. If using Vista or 7 then you need to turn off UAC, reboot then calibrate. You can turn UAC back on after calibration. If it's XP then I've not experienced anything similar.

When you say, unresponsive, do you mean that the IWB is no longer interactive?

 

I have seen a similar thing in old buildings when there is a lot of vibration from the class above.

 

But it does not loose interactivity, If yours does, this could be a loose connection maybe?

 

Only other option to stop vibration from floor above is to fit ultra short throw projectors that are mounted directly above IWB. i.e Hitachi EDA-100.

 

But in extreme cases the wall could also have abit of vibration passing through it, so you would be no better off really.

non responsive meaning the light on the board goes from green to red, not writing nothing. until you calibrate again. This issue is happening inmostof our classrooms on the ground floor
