Guest richard_s Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I'm in the process of getting my full bike license and and eventually will be using it for work call outs so I need to find a good quality rucksack to carry my laptop, tools, disks etc. I have been looking at Targus and TechAir bags as I have used both in the past but I was wondering if any of you who ride bikes used anything in particular. Money isn't too much of an issue I am going to get work to order and pay for it as its for their laptop though eventually I will buy my own one for my laptop as well.

TechMonkey Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Yep, either a back box or a tank bag would be better. You can get some nice tank bags that turn into Rucksacks if you are thinking of lugging it around all day. There are some motorcycle rucksacks that have back protection built in, in case of an off, but I still wouldn't be happy. Cheaper option, depending on the bike you get, some bungee cords & a normal rucksack. I bungeed mine to the passenger seat for a while, maybe invest in a rucksack cover as well to make it weather proof.

WStore_Dan Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I have one of these... http://www.bustersclassic.co.uk/prodimages/fullsize/luggage/OXOF670.jpg I have my work laptop in a standard laptop bag (as small a fit as possible) and then expand the bag, put my laptop inside then use the bungy straps to secure it Been doing this for a year now and works a treat. Just make sure your laptop bag isnt too big! Hope this helps

Screwdrivers and pliers become daggers and scissors when skidding down the road on your behind at 40 miles an hour!

I have a restricted budget so a lot of the newer bikes are out of my reach so I am looking at older models I have seen the ER5 but am also looking at Honda Hornet and Yamaha Diversion 600.
