I also applied for the Network Manager position that was advertised in December.

If they had offered me an interview, they would know that I could have easily taken on this role as well and saved them a lot of money. When will they learn?

Slightly differing skillsets for that of a 'network manager' and that of an 'e-champion' do you not think?

Saving money isn't always what schools need to do. Getting someone that is right for the job is. The classic 'value for money'.

As for doing both jobs, I don't think that would be possible considering I do a similar role fulltime and the extent of the work is pretty huge. We're not just talking uploading resources, but creating and maintaining the environment, liasing with CL's regarding curriculum resources, getting teachers onboard, providing classroom support etc etc

Try applying for that job, you never know

This isn't the place to moan about not getting an interview. E-Champion's/E-Guides are tough jobs to do in any situation, even tougher when you have NM duties to do aswell......

Good luck to those that apply, looks a very promising job.

Learning Technologist/E-Guide/VLE Administrator

Basically someone that improves the use of technology in/out of the classroom and implements E-learning into a curriculum setting.
