Limit file name size through GPO

Hi guys,

 

We have a Windows 2008 R2 domain and i was wondering if there is a way to limit the number of characters in a file name while saving.

Our students sometimes click on save while the filename is equal to the first couple of sentences of a Word Document. This occurs mainly in Office 2007

One way round this if the problem is basically Word (and it probably is!) would be to create a macro to replace the default save command - this could then prompt for a name and not allocate a default or just suggest something shorter.
