hi ppl, I have a lab with 25 computers running winxp. this lab has multiple logins for each period. i.e.; hs411pd1, hs411pd2, hs411pd3 etc. Each login account has a folder on the server labled the same as the login i.e.; hs411pd1, hs411pd2...you get the picture..lol I need a script that 'redirects' that user to just that folder once they login. I guess what I'm asking is can I have a certain user login and just be able to view a certain folder off the server? any help is appreciated :)

As above; if using AD use either AD users and computers, or GPMC and redirect the mydocuments to \\server\%username%

If its just a workgroup, add a batch file to the computers startup folder.

net use /d n:

net use n: \\server\%username%

thanks for your replies. I'm using kmount's suggestion and testing out the lab now. All is working good for now. I did notice that when I try to 'Save As..' in MS Word 2003 the drop down shows the parent folder in which the original folder is located. Make sense? In Photoshop 6 the 'Save As..' drop down only shows the mapped 'S:' drive. Which is what I want. In Word the user can select a folder up one or two levels and see folders I'd rather they don't see. Any suggestions? Other than that it works.
