Damaged Wii CD - any ideas?

Having got a new Wii with Sports Resort the other day, my 2 yr old boy has now managed to bite into the game CD. Now it won't load on the wii.

 

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do, to prevent spending £25 on a new one?

The gamestation near me offer a service where they try to fix damaged disks. I'm not sure if they all do it but if you live near a gamestation it might be worth a try.

In the US you can get a replacement disc for $15 but it looks like that's not available in the UK

I would hope that they would let you have a disc for just the handling costs - you can't be the only person with children who destroy the discs :-)

whats the law with mod-chips? Can u install one of them and then only play backups and keep your originals on the shelf in the shrinkwrap.

Well earlier today we had an art teacher come in with photos on a cd and he wanted a backup making. The thing was though the cd was in such poor condition that it stopped the Unstoppable Copier. We've told him not to carry cd round in his pocket whether or not they're in the plastic wallets. We got the usual blank look. Then we suggested using toothpaste to try and buff out some of the scratches and maybe make it readable.

 

So depending on how bad the bite mark is you may be able to buff out the scratches yourself maybe with toothpaste or T-Cut. Also the Gamestation idea isn't bad, Grainger Games also do this if you have one near you.
