We use Moodle as our VLE. If anything requires wikifying we just use Moodles Wiki module.

 

Prime example of this would be all our technical documentation. We have a course setup on Moodle for the network manager/techies. Where we can add stuff. This includes a few wiki bits.

Cool I've got moodle installed so I'll have a look thanks guys!

 

Will I have to upgrade my moodle installation to the 1.6.x version we're still on 1.5.3+ (TBH I'm upgrading anyway lol)

Probably best. We upgraded as soon as 1.6 went stable. Although I've recently put 1.6.2 (a security update).

 

We also have a development machine that's tracking 1.7.x as it develops.

I'm using Tiddlywiki to document all our technical procedures. It's easy to use in it's basic form, but can be developed to be quite a sophicated system. There is now a server side version suitable for Websites. TiddlyWeb
