Ghost Prob - New HDD Slower

Hi All,

 

Ghosted a laptop hdd over the weekend, from a sony laptop. Laptop is about 4 years old. 2.5" IDE laptop drive, old one 4200rpm, new one 5400rpm. I ghosted the drive using external usb caddies and it all seemed to go well. First boot the new drive was slower as it installed drivers, but it hasn't got any quicker. And it's also affecting the sound now, the sound is now stuttering.

 

Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried re-ghosting? And have you tried running Scandisk in case there are any errors?
