Does anyone have any experience with any kind of Index.dat analyzers.

I use the following which does the trick, but it could be organized better.

If you have any better way of checking people's internet history that is builtin/free let me know as well

There was a really good VBS script posted somewhere here that basically writes a users history to an HTML file each time they log off. The files can be written to a hidden network share and checked at any time. I used to do it manually with an index.dat analyser but this way is far easier.

 

I've been running it a while and its excellent, records all sites and dates visited for the entire school.

I use IEHistoryView its very good! IE HistoryView: Freeware Internet Explorer History Viewer You have to download it through an unfiltered feed though as our friends YHGFL block the site as .

Still looking for the inetlogger.vbs

 

The file linked when i open the Zip the file inside has no extension , when i change to VBS it does not work

Download the zip again with a download manager or Firefox/not IE - just tried it here and it opens fine to give a .vbs file...

How very strange .. I was using IE normal

Firefox worked Perfecto .
