Wireless - 3Com WX2200 alarm logs

Hi,

 

Due to a minor config error our WX has logged over 5000 alarms.

 

When i attempt to remove them in the conventional manner the wireless switch manager software hangs, even if it's left for 24 hours it still wont clear the logs.

 

I read somewhere that leaving the controller switched off for over an hour should clear down any stored alarms........ it didn't.

 

has anyone any other suggestions?

If you stop the 3WXM service for an hour on the machine that it is installed on, this will clear all logs and start afresh.

Your wireless service wont be affected - it'll just be the monitoring of it that you wont be able to do.
