It shouldn't be a problem at all, we are SEGfL but they opened our ports for us at SWGfL. You need to open a change control request, stating the ip of the server you want the firewall exception opened to and the port (80).

They will (should) also make the DNS change for you. When I'm back home, I'll pm you my contact in the firewall change/DNS change dept who delt with me :-)

Has anyone tried this with SWGfL?

It should be possible. And the easiest way to do this would be?

Yes you can host as website with them.

But using my own server instead of hosting on there's.

You will need to complete a change request form with you can get from them. On it will need to put the IP address of your website and also the name you want your sub-domain set up as. Email them on [email protected]and they should be able to help you.

I've been involved in things like that before with SWGfL when the school I was at in Devon wanted to make ePortal available from home.

Cheers,

Steve
