windows 7 folder and files goes missing

Got my girlfriends laptop here

windows 7

she was dragging and dropping some files and folders around and lost a couple of folders and their contents.

I said no problem i can sort that (guess what i cant)

searched the computer no trace

tried all the ussual stuff

ran GetDataBack nothing

also Recuva and undelete

 

they have just dissapeared without a trace

 

any other suggestions
