Geek_of_HeathMount Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 After a year of waiting I now have a tape drive Problem is it only seems to work with Windows Server backup (2008) Does anyone know how to do one of the following:- 1. Get Backup Assist to recognise it as a valid drive or 2. Get it to appear as a drive letter ie drive e: etc or 3. Recommend a suitable backup software in a similar price bracket as backup assist. I have been on the phone to Quantum and they said they could help me setup the drive to work with Backuo Exec most helpful ................. not So any guidance greatly appreciated
Theblacksheep Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 we use it with DPM, just plugged it in and it worked.... DPM however, needs a bit of attention and preferably some disks to backup onto first.
Geek_of_HeathMount Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 DPM ? I can't seem to find that in MS 2008. Unless I've missed something
