Inbox/Email for students in sharepoint

How have those who have sharepoint intergrated email in sharepoint for students?

Just provided a link to the Exchange web front end.

Also SharePoint has webparts that can be installed on a site which links to your exchange. You will find these webparts to be a bit irritating. When you add them to a site and everytime you go to the site it centres on these webparts.

We just used the Web Page web part and made OWA available through that. Clicking on the email tab within the Learning Gateway displays OWA within the Sharepoint page.
