Can anyone advise on a setup for animation? At present we use DigiBlue cameras, but would like to produce higher quality videos.

I'd like the pupils to be able to use the cameras for ordinary video capture too. So I was wondering if any camcorder is suitable? Also, any views on software - must be easy to use as we're a primary school.

If you want some really great software that is easy to use then take a look at:

Welcome - Zu3D - Stop motion / Stop frame animation software

It works with webcams and video cameras, but the next version will allow digital cameras too. The next version is also going to allow blue screening and the rubbing out of elements across screens (such as string to suspend a character).

We aim to use this for our WJEC GCSE course next year.

It's easy enough to use in Primary - just look at how simple the interface is.
