Monkeyjam Trouble

I have monkeyjam 3beta installed on PC.

Window xp sp3

Plenty of ram and loads of space.

Everything works great in monkeyjam, however whenever the kids go to export the file as .avi (only export format it gives) the file will either not save or if it does save it appears in media player with 0.00 secs.

i have tried it on three different computer, on two different networks and also on my home computer. Export just will not work.

Does anybody else use this.

Help would be great.

Not currently using it but it looks like a fun toy for our media dept - do you mean that export doesn't work for you as an admin *and* for the kids, or that it doesn't work as a limited user (kids) account?

Have you got Directx9.0c? Got this from the help....

To save your Xsheet as an AVI:

Select a location for the file.

Enter a name for the file.

Select a video compressor if desired.

Select an audio compressor if appropriate.

Click Save Movie.

Compressors

MonkeyJam will list all video and audio compressors installed on your machine that are available to DirectShow. MonkeyJam may not work with all of the compressors listed. The following compressors have been successfully tested with DirectX 9.0c installed:

Video

Divx

Microsoft DV

Indeo5.0

Microsoft Video 1

Mjpeg

Xvid

Audio

Microsoft ADPCM

Alaw

Ulaw

We're running it here but not for anything important...

We can export to AVI as a staff member (possibly power user, never asked which PC it was) but not as a student... They can preview their work though which is our workaround...

I thought it was working but is still isn't. I download a number of codecs from Microsoft. Also downloaded directx9 and installed it again. Like i said it will not play .avi.

Email sent to makers. hopefully they might be able to help.

Also download VLC it will not play with it either. Actually crashes the machine.
