Network Unstable

Last year the school was updated now we have a 3Com Baseline Switch 2924-SFP Plus as the back bone and a number of Baseline 2226 Plus.

 

Recently (or it may be older) there were a number of problems relating to Login, Profiles etc. When I have checked the switches I fould the following error:

 

"STP TOPOLOGY UNSTALBLE"

 

In each case the fault seems relate to login time (about 9.00) each day.

 

Any idea?

at a guess something to do with spanning tree protocol might be worth furning it on/off depending on current state
