Company to assist in connecting macs to windows domain in the NW

I am trying to find paid support to link my Mac server and clients to my AD. I have come close but not quite right. I have paid another company to do this not long ago but then they didn't know the AD side which did seem a bit strange since they were paid to connect the tow.

 

Can anyone suggest a firm or private individual who can invoice, , who could sort this out for my school?

 

PS I have the macs authenticating but then the desktop on the mac goes blank with a beachball and goes no further!

What version of Mac are you on? We did this over the summer and it was really easy to implement. We did upgrade to the latest version of OS X first though.

DNS has to be working 100% both ways ( forward and reverse lookup zones ) before you even contemplate getting macs intergrated into a windows AD enviroment.

 

network utility in the utils folder in apps folder should be able to use the nslookup / lookup function to see if it can do lookups both ways - when it can then go from there.

 

Also with the above links just click on the ipod video download and you should be able to use handbrake ( if you want to convert it ) or any video convertor to convert it into a watchable format if you have issues playing it back.
