Is there anyway to filter out certain sites from the realtime web filter

 

eg Google's .gstatic.com (Thumbnails?) and urs.microsoft.com:443

Unusually the filter box on the realtime web filter doesn't appear to be a regex, but will check - either way I will pass on as a feature request though.

 

Only thing I can think of is not to log explicitly allowed sites (Guardian > Web Proxy > Advanced) and then put in an allow for these domains. However you'll then lose logging of anything set to Allow.

Just had a peek at the code and this doesn't look to be currently possible. Will pass on to a certain product manager...

Does anyone have a link or know what the different real time web filter codes are, i know what 200 and 407 are or mean but what about 502, 404 ? etc.etc. thanks.

It's the standard response codes from my understanding:

 

So 502 Bad Gateway and 404 Not Found

The only different one that I have seen is a 0 code, which isn't a standard code.

 

I've seen it when trying to access an https site via IP via a transparent proxy and there's something up with the header info (missing SNI header or something I forget) and need to add the site to the bypass category.

 

Quite niche really
