Try and go for a projector with a bulb warranty - like the current epsons - then you get free bulbs for 3 or maybe 4 years so long as you maintain it and clean the filters etc.

agreed there are a few vendors that offer a 3yr warranty or voucher on bulbs at the moment,

We just bought an Epson projector from RM the other week for £416 (gone up since then..), XGA with a spare lamp included, although I think you mentioned Simon that was a special only RM were doing? We always go for Epson here, but mainly as we like to keep things consistant as possible!

 

Bulb warranty obviously isn't as good as an actual bulb, but still gives peace of mind for the duration it's valid for. I'd definately look for something along those lines, if anything just to save money later down the line!

There are a few manufacturers doing lamp warranty or 3 year warranty. Off the top of my head these include Epson, NEC & Infocus. We sold an Infocus DLP XGA model to someone the other week for around the £300 mark but as I previously said it depends on the price / spec you are looking for in terms of getting the best deal, so we always quoted based on what is needed.
