We use the ImageResizer.exe powertoy on our XP desktops as a simple right click tool that enables users to resize images. I'd like to use this on our Citrix boxes and I wondered if anyone else has tries this on Server 2003.

Cheers.

EDIT - Well it doesn't install so that's out. I use VSO Image resizer at home but it does have a nagware button. Anyone have a better alternative that has similar features.

hiya,

there isn't a image resizer tool for server 2k3 from microsoft (to my knowledge)

what i do here is just use a xp machine with admin privs of the folder with the images, search for all files larger than 2MB then just highlight them all and use the tool from that xp machine.

I'm a bit warey of fudging it on a production box.

@ aptproductions

We have a couple of pieces of software including Irfanview that will do the job but the Powertoy only requires a right click so it's very straight forward.

I'm after an image resizer e.g. .jpg files not a partition resizer.

this is what i use.. see attatched.

place exe in root of c: and import the reg file.

this will give you a context menu on most image files and will create the resized file next to the original.
