Any free video to flash converters or ideas on video?

We have a promo video for the school now, and SMT want it on the website. Its 10 minutes long and they want it in a nice box on screen.

 

I've seen some sites have there video as a flash file, any free converters??

 

or any other ideas other than using flash? I'm not keen on using realplayer or quicktime.

Is anyone able to get this to download from this site? I'd like to give this a try for something, but each time I try to download, the page just refreshes. Their solution (according to the site) is to "not use a proxy" ... so helpful . I mean we all use a proxy purely for window dressing don't we? Lol.

I saw you have promoted this a lot during my travels around the site... I'll have to give it a go. Just hope the player can be combined with joomla. Cheers Craig .

Should work OK, just make sure the Jscript file is loaded via some means (template?) and then insert the FLVPlayer HTML fragment into a page.

The encoding failed . The video is simply an AVI file... can't see anything wrong with the settings, so I can only think it's a codec issue :?

Can you get it to download then? If so, is it possible you can place the download in another location so I can download it here? I can't download it from their own website for some reason.

Just a quick post for anyone having trouble with slow or broken downloads.

 

FDM (free download manager) is very good, I have been using it for the past few years and it has worked without any problems. It supports segmented downloading of files and multiple mirrors. Anyone having problems downloading large files using school dsl connections will find this program invaluable.

 

Its also free, and free of spyware.
