Edu-IT Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 How do you go about journaling your Exchange 2007 emails? I'm thinking that on the last day of each month I can login to the journaling account and then archive the emails otherwise the mailbox is going to become large very quickly, will that comply with everything?
FN-GM Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 try these links Exchange Server 2007: Using Journaling Rules Exchange Server 2007 journaling tutorial We did what you suggested but everyday i put the messages into a folder named after the date of the day then exported them at the end of the month.
ranj Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 You could also use the managed content settings in Exchange 2007. Also if your users dont delete their deleted items but you want to force this to happen say every 120 days etc you can do this by creating managed content settings. Check out the useful videos for exchange 2007 @ Microsoft Exchange 2007 Training Clips View the video's for • What Are Managed Content Settings? 4:36 • Create a New Managed Default Folder and Add New Managed Content Settings 4:22 • Create a New Managed Custom Folder and Add Managed Content Settings 4:58 • Create a New Managed Folder Mailbox Policy 2:34 This should give you a good idea about journaling and all the other good things you can do with Exchange.
