iMacs not logging into windows accounts

Hey,

 

I have successfully binded a iMac to our server 2008 AD. However when I login to a domain account it starts to login then brings up the rainbow circle thing for loading, and nothing happens or it takes ages to login (20 - 60 mins).

 

The imac is running os 10.5.8. We also have 10.4.11 emacs which are working fine. The way in which I have added the imac is as follows:

 

Directory utility > services > AD and configure icon > AD domain = ourdomain.ac.uk > administrative > allow admin by ticked > and then binded and restarted.

 

Is there anything I have done wrong here?

Seems to be a few problems logging on to server 2008,think it is something to do with the logging on to an smb homedrive... i can't remember where exactly but does explain a lot here . Hope this helps.
