Replacment H/d for EMC Clarion?

Hello all,

 

I'm after a 300gb, 4 gb fibre channel h/d for a EMC clarion SAN. I have been looking on the web and their about £1200, however if I look for a similar spec h/d that doesn't specify EMC Clarion their about £250, my question is are they compatible?

If you take the disk out of its chasis, you should be able to find the exact model. Use of anything other than an EMC part would invalidate warranties and the like though and isn't garaunteed to work.
