Freshly imaged machine, when we try to connect to the domain no matter what username we use we get the following error message.

"Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one username, are not allowed. Disconnect all previouse connections to the server or shared resource and try again"

I have had this before, but jsut used a different username, like myself if im using administrator and visa versa, but this time, nothing.

HEEEEEEEELP:confused:

Try making sure all the network shares are disconnected. You can't rename a PC on a domain or join a domain if network shares/mapped drives are active on a PC

try using the short name of the domain.

eg

school

instead of

school.somewhereshire.sch.uk

this sometimes works for me

I'm sure the last time I had that error message it was because the name I was trying to join the computer to the domain with was already in use, have you check that?

if the local administrator accounts password and networks match that can do it

try leaving the credintials blank when it asks that has been known to work for me
