SIMS SQL perfomance

Are other people are having problems with the SIMS SQL using most of the server resources and slow performance since the last update. Staff are complaining about speed issues and after looking at it the network traffic is fine, memory usage is fine but SQL is causing the processor to run at 80 to 97 percent. Before any asks we have exceeded the recommended server specs.

 

Any help would be greatful.

Sorry which version are you running? The latest from our LA is August, are you newer than that? If not then I haven't noticed any issues with this release.

August (V,7,112) is the most recent releases. No Speed issues for us on this.

Autumn Release (V7.114) is due on 19th October. With it is the facility to move to SQL Server 2008 - when it will be supported by Capita.

I did notice that a few of our reports had slown down since the last update, mainly the bigger ones.. but i was told that in the latest update the reports had slowed down and capita were aware of this. i am guessing it will be resolved in the next update

 

Still pretty quick mind, but slower then they were before.. if the computer says Program Not Responding make sure your staff dont just quit SIMS.. it will be doing something just have to be patient.. unless it gives you an error leave it be

Thanks for all the suggestions but after checking everything looks ok, guess it is time for a another server. Wonder who pay for it
