printers not installing and shares disappearing

I have some random issues at the moment certain members of staff and what appears to be the whole of year 11 don't always get printers installed.

 

Other staff are reporting that our public folder share can be fine one minute and disappear the next.

 

Printers are installed using a vbs on login and network drives are mapped using a logon script.

 

I can't see what could cause the intermittent nature of this.

 

Any ideas?

I know this will sound very silly but has something happened over the last few days I had a load of strange things happen on my network last week and now several other people are having problems as well.

I had similar issues with logon, but a simple reboot of our 2 dc's rectified this.

I stopped deploying printers via vbs months ago - far quicker logon now they are deployed via group policy. The only thing our logon scripts do is map the network drives.
