SMARTBoard Problems

Another strange problem for the people of the world, we had a SMARTBoard 600 series installed during the summer break, we have build a purpose build WB machine for the job of controling it. we installed all the software from the disk as per usual, but when it came to Callibration time the flashing cross in the top left corner (the first one you press) it flashes for about 3 secs then stops the pens do not interact with the board and has to be Escaped out of, the strange thing is the PC sees the board but does not react to it all lights are green it knows its there but still the problem any ideas.

Could be that the layers within the board itself are stuck together. There is a membrane under the white board surface, if this becomes stuck then the board doesn't work properly. (Had that here on a couple of boards).

 

Trying using a soft cloth and applying gentle pressure to the board and rubbing it all over to see if that is indeed the problem and releases it.

 

There is also a reset button near to where the USB cable fits into the board (you'll need to use a pen for this). Board may also need a physical reset.
