oalcock Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Hi there, We have a problem with our Terastation, and I just wondered if someone could help us? During the last academic year at our school; we could add users and they would automatically be authenticated to access the Terastation. Now when we add users, they are seeing messages saying access denied and sometimes are asked to input administrator login details. We have tried, and tried to find out what the solution is but no joy unfortunatley. The Terastation is a; Terastation pro. Thanks
kmount Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Is the time in sync? Are you using 2003 or 2008?
SC-UK Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 The time being out of sync would be my first check as well. I know this makes a lot of difference on our NAS drives, which is really frustrating as they never seem to automatically adjust themselves for daylight savings!
andy_b Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) If you are using AD authentication on the Terrastation check that the clock on the Terrastation is correct. Generally the only times our Linkstations have authentication problems is when the clock has drifted out of sync and its not updated via ntp correctly. Hehe see above Edited September 16, 2009 by andy_b Too late posting :)
oalcock Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) The TeraStation gets its time from the server using NTP. Edited September 16, 2009 by oalcock
