Delivery has failed - Exchange 2007

Hi All,

 

Keep getting this message for this user. It only happens when certain other members of staff send her a message. All the other members of staff are using full Outlook 2007. Web Outlook is working fine, and she is getting most of her mail. Everything seems correct on the server.

 

 

Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:

 

Louise Pettifer

The recipient's e-mail address was not found in the recipient's e-mail system. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please check the e-mail address and try resending this message, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.

 

 

 

If I click the link in the e-mail it shows the following details:

IMCEAEX-_O=MASCALLS_OU=First+20Administrative+20Group_cn=Recipients_cn=Pettifer@mascalls.kent.sch.uk

 

Anyone got any ideas why it would keep doing this?

An initial thought or two...

 

a) is the alias and setup of that target users' mailbox / settings correct?

b) are you getting disc space issues which are causing these periodic delivery options? i.e. the transport queue needs to have 4GB of space or odd things will happen. I would "assume" that this means 4GB of space at all times i.e. dont just leave 4GB space free on the disk that the queue is on.

I've had something similar to this before. On the staff who are tryiing to send get the affected user's name from the address book rather than from the quick dropdown history list. For some reason the link there corrupted, once I deleted that link and resent manually it worked OK after...
