I’ve tried to find company’s that supply the above product put no one has got back to me with a price yet. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a company they have got the product off and the price they paid.

What is it with sales people when u want something they never ring back or email but annoy u when they want u to buy something?

Not sure of the differences but I do know that Winstall have a newer version which is no longer free.

Free's good but I am curious as to just what benefits the newer (and costs money) version offers, if any?

I’ve asked around to see if any one has MS server 2000 so I could take it of their, we only have MS server 2003, but no luck so far! So that’s why its looking like I am going to have to purchase it. Cheers for the link Ben, I’ve already downloaded the evaluation version, and had a go and was impressed that’s why I like to find a reseller to purchase it of.

Here are the prices for the WinINSTALL MSI Packager Pro Console v8.7 plus maintenance which gives u a total cost of: £1,479.00

But he recommends that I get the whole lot which is WinINSTALL 8.7 DMS - single node license for 200 client plus maintenance: £3,426.

I use WinINSTALL 8.7 DMS. I have been on the training too.

Def buy maintenance if you going for DMS (version 9 is on the way and it will be coming with a vista rollout tool in the future too)

I take it you spoke to "Steve" :D

If you have any questions I can answer most of them ;)

I hate installshield, it makes applications such a pain to distribute. The fact that it often produces an exe which *has* to run the msi due to the fact that the exe installs installshield components if they are missing utterly defeats the point of them even using an msi in the first place!

Oh I use Wininstall DAS, although only been using it on a larger scale more recently, I'll let you know if it works well in two weeks!
