How much editing do you want to do? Inkscape can edit a PDF but can only work on 1 page at a time.

If you just want to fill in a form and you've got One Note (part of MS Office) then you can print to One Note and then fill in the form using One Note.

If it's OK to work with it as a bitmap then Gimp can also open PDF files and edit them.

I just came across this useful artilce '3 Smart Alternative of Adobe PDF Editors to edit PDF Files'. You may click here for reference. And I prefer to use the last one PDF Editor since it can help me edit PDF files freely just as in Word processor. Hope you like it too.

Hello, I am new here. But I would like to share you a nifty freeware. Do you have MS Office Word installed on your PC? If so, you can try AnyBizSoft PDF to Word Converter, it is free now. I have grabbed a free license and it works well indeed in converting PDF to Word doc so that I can edit PDF files in Word.

My PDF files with complicated format, lots of images and hyperlinks are preserved completely in the generated Word files. BTW, it supports encrypted PDF files conversion.

Just get the freeware here: PDF to Word Converter
