Question for those in the know:

 

What are the advantages/disadvantages (if any) of using Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 vs a Server Core install of Server 2008 R2 with only the Hyper-V role installed?

I'm sure I remember reading an article on this i'll post it if I find it. An advantage would be that the server core install will have a lower attack surface and should require patching less often so less need for reboots. I think certain features rely on the host OS so there might be certain situations where a full install is required.
