Req:Ideas for MRBS Mods for Teacher Reminder System

Hello,

 

I'm involved with a group of Yoga studios with teachers that often go around to different

schools and teach at different times. I'm requesting some help with modding the

tables for MRBS.

 

Plan on running LAMP, open to suggestions on the absolutely, easiest one click graphic distro

setup for same on a cheap intel box.

 

I really find MRBS brilliant especially in its simple relational design.

 

What I want to do is mod it ( At least I think I have to mod it )

to serve as a reminder system for teachers, so it will

email them a user-defined length of time before a class starts, reminding them when they should be where.

 

The classes and locations have to be user defined, the times can be on the hour for now, I can fix that later.

 

So the user sequence would be

 

1)Teacher goes to studiocollectivesomething.org

 

2) Create or login to account with email and PW

 

3) Go to config screen with list of rules

 

4) Rule consists of

a) Week choice in month ( 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 1st and 3rd, 2nd and 4th)

b) Number of weeks to repeat and/or end date

c) Self defined label describing location ( Joe's Yoga)

d) How long before class you want to be reminded , reminder #1 and #2 configurable.

e) How long is the class 1-164 hours, limit one week

 

5) Then the system running cron or similar would check and send reminders out.

 

Don't know if I'm allowed to offer money here, but I would be willing to hire someone

to do the mods if interested.
