Is there anyway to restore a single GPO in Active Directory? I've accidentally made some changes without realising and I didn't backup the single GPO beforehand. Can it be restored from the tape backup?

If you go into the Details tab of the GPO and look for the Unique ID. It will look something like {6A6691FC-636C-46A7-9E25-B7CBB78F793F}.

That ID relates to a folder in your sysvol folder. Go into your backups and restore that folder to a temp folder on your workstation.

In theory you should be able to copy that folder straight over the top of your existing gpo AFTER incrementing the version number in the GPT.ini file to one higher than your current gpo's GPT.ini file.

I personally would go through the folder manually and retrieve the information i need and add it back in using GPMC just to play it safe.
