Hyper V shutting down a guest OS

Hey people

My boss is away on holidays & the builders need to shut the power off for 20 mins (their 20 mins so might take longer)and the UPS won't take it. so ive got to shut down the servers. but some are on hyper v, i think my answer is yes. but if i shut down the host sever it will save the state of the Guest server as it shuts down and when i start the host sever up the guest will start up where it was saved.

You are bang on, unless it has been changed by default. it might shut them down.

 

You can turn off the host nothing to worry about
