Noooooooooo. I've got an Ubuntu VM on my PC. I boot it up every so often. Does that let me off?

Im an Apple user and I think Windows 7 is top notch. It has made me consider when i go for a renewal to go back to Windows.

Any device containing lithim polymer / lithium ion can be a fire hazard if the battery is mistreated (by mistreated I mean, undercharged, overcharged, unbalanced, or left in strong sunlight).

 

Yes thats right, your (new) laptop, phone, PDA, etc all contain potentially explosive batteries.

 

Perhaps the iPod chassis transmits more heat into the battery than other devices - either way you should not leave any of these devices unnatended in strong direct sunlight and I am willing to wager it says so in the manual too.

Here's hoping it's not sunny tomorrow. I have Sat Nav on my iPhone and it gets mighty when it's running. In the car windscreen with the sun blaring down can be a bit much for it (it has complained at being too hot under these conditions before).

I can't afford £3k for a good spec Mac Pro - and yes I'd run Win7 on it (as well as OS X). Looks like I'd have to buy a cheaper equivalent. I recon no more than £500 total and it'd be on par with the Mac Pro

I was just thinking. I could take my current Mac Book Pro to the Windows 7 conference tomorrow to make notes on - but the battery dies in under 30 sec so it'd kind of defeat the object

I like the idea of exploding phones/laptops, life can be so dull, it needs a bang to keep it interesting.

My little setup at work is a WYSE box (behind the screen on the right) to a Citrix setup and on the left is my MacBookPro. The screen in the middle is hooked onto my MBP so I can use my Windows 7 image (parallels 5 beta). Behind Windows 7 is my Ubuntu image and my Server 2008 image (both paused).

 

Happy to use whatever I get my hands on really.

Yeah ... power management on MacOS is better than on Windows 7 at the moment ... I wonder what tweaks Snow Leopard might bring to the bootcamp drivers?
