Anyone know how to rebuild an F-Series RM machine to CC4 using the USB dongles/flash drives.

By F Series I mean the cream RM machines with the Blue fronts/outlines.

Have one building by removing the hard drive IDE cable and then plugging it in once the PC has booted from the flash drive. (Not my doing by the way)

Am currently trying to delete the partition using a Win 98 startup disk getting into DOS and trying that way, but still a faf.

There doesnt seem to be an option to boot in the BIOS using the USB drive.

HELP, I have a class full of the things.

We have those machines with the blue fronts and ours are pretty old and outdated but still boot from USB floppy or USB HDD i think.

We use the NETAC memory sticks that RM used to sell. We just move the slider to emulate a USB Floppy. This is on CC3 though if that makes a difference.

Well the guy we have helping us (non RM) found this - Log In

Basically if you cant view the knowledge Library,

"The BIOS on these computers does not support booting the machines from a USB HDD or USB CD drive. However, they will boot from USB FDD or USB ZIP drives but these options are not compatible with the CC4 Computer Build process."
