Virtual CD Drive

Hi all i am looking for a Virtual CD Drive, that I can mount and unmount images and hide/unhide the drives, Something similar to Nero Image Drive but freeware that will work with Vista & XP?

wikipedia article here that lists a number of them and states in the features column ( 2nd column ) what it supports and mount would be the feature you are after afaik

If your after something simple (easy) I just put this freeware on a Window 7 x64 laptop without hassels and it seems to work fine. Only been using it for a couple of days though

I recommend Virtual CloneDrive - mounts ISO files a treat, is freeware and also works well with ISO building powertools from MS (under XP, Vista and Win 7)

SlySoft's Virtual CloneDrive (as mentioned above) or WinCDEmu. The latter is open source too.

Ive just installed virtual clonedrive on 7 and it works great

Another program I completely forgot about, and that's worth a mention is Pismo File Mount. The best thing about this compared to the others above, is that it allows you to mount ISOs as folders which therefore allows you to edit the contents if you select the read/write option when mounting the image.
