I was playing with this today, I had forgotten all about it, but it is a really great little toy for your PDA. I used it will I was in Indonesia earlier this year to send and recieve my emails. Whats more you will be amazed at how many people leave their wi-fi connections wide open. I set my pda up in its cradle in my car on the way home from work tonight and i must have found least 10 wireless networks that were wide open.

Had a few probs with this myself... I tend to use WiFiFoFum instead. Check it out at http://www.aspecto-software.com/rw/applications/wififofum/ .

If you connect up your GPS at the same time it will record where it sees the connections for reference later... indeed it is amazing how many wireless networks are out there. (Neither myself nor EduGeek condone using other people's networks without their prior consent!)

Hitchiker seems to be more about connecting you to any available wireless network whereas wififofum seems to be more about scanning for networks.
