VHS to DVD

Hi,

I have been asked to have the machine in my offices that converts VHS to DVD's. In the past it was connected to a small tv.

 

Is there a way to connect a monitor to it? I've read the refresh rate isn't high enough so not possible.

 

Is there an alternative way to convert vhs to dvd?

There are plenty of various versions of this type of gadget on the market: VGA02 VGA Converter Typically between £20 to £50. Typically they take in an s-video or composite video signal, and output a signal on a standard VGA socket for a PC monitor. I'm guessing the conversion device you have will probably have at least a SCART output (which should carry s-video and/or composite signals) if not composite and s-video directly.

We use a Toshiba RD-XV47KB - wouldn't recomend - very heavy to work through the menus.
