standunstan Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Its that time of year again when we begin to roll out clean images to all our PCs. Everything was going well until i joined the PC to the domain, this was ok and also my User Policy worked fine. The problem is i get the below error for my computer config policy. Group Policy Infrastructure failed due to the error listed below. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. Note: Due to the GP Core failure, none of the other Group Policy components processed their policy. Consequently, status information for the other components Can anyone suggest anything as i am going round in circles
tarquel Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Network error in the switch perhaps - have you tried swapping each switch on that segment of the network with a known working one, to see whether it is that? Is it just that PC or have you tried another one? Have you tried another network card or tried different drivers? Just a few suggestions to start with... N.
Guest Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Seen some comments on tinternet that suggest uninstalling and reinstalling client for microsoft networks. Also are the errors only on the work station or server too?
DMcCoy Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Let me guess, Do you see event 4201 For TCP/IP starting up *after* this error message?
