We the few that work during the holidays need music to keep us going. Last Summer had 8 hours of Dance/Trance banging out everyday through the speakers attached to the interactive whiteboards. the corridors were ringing to the sound of "smack my bitch up" by the Prodigy. Didn't half get some strange looks of the staff that put in an appearance now and again. During term time, me and the techs usually have the radio on streaming through itunes, it aint too loud and keeps us going

i would like the option of being able to run this as well before next year, i dont want to play catch up but we are only a small school and dont have money to throw around on a dedicated server for these crap tests
-
so i have to buy a specfic server for the task and make sure no one else is using the network?

well considering the forum is on the ICT KS3 Software, i would assume that that is the software i was trialing, the students are trying to log on the the DPS, the workstations keep freezing. I go to the APS and try to log in, i get error:connection failed. Its proving very frustrating as we are trying to get the kids used to the environment but can't

Help............. I have had it up to here with this software, trialing some year 9's this morning accessing the program, there were about 40 students over 2 rooms, and the software kept freezing up after around 20 logged in. It even got to the stage where the entire network ground to a halt. Why 4 oh why is this happening?

can anyone suggest anything for this. The person on the end of the phone was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. The files belonging to this database system will be owned by user "postgres". This user must also own the server process. The database cluster will be initialized with locale C. .............. creating template1 database in C:/Program Files/QCA Testing/Admin Point System/Postgres/data/base/1 ... Execution of PostgreSQL by a user with administrative permissions is not permitted. The server must be started under an unprivileged user ID to prevent possible system security compromises. See the documentation for more information on how to properly start the server. child process was terminated by signal 1 initdb: removing contents of data directory "C:/Program Files/QCA Testing/Admin Point System/Postgres/data" cheers

Its that time of year again when we begin to roll out clean images to all our PCs. Everything was going well until i joined the PC to the domain, this was ok and also my User Policy worked fine. The problem is i get the below error for my computer config policy. Group Policy Infrastructure failed due to the error listed below. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. Note: Due to the GP Core failure, none of the other Group Policy components processed their policy. Consequently, status information for the other components Can anyone suggest anything as i am going round in circles

how much are you thinking of spending, we use impero here and have found it to be a godsend. You can arrange all your ict areas into groups with thumbnails, send messages, log kids off etc. the new version also allows you to broadcast your desktop to a class to show them how to do things as well as taking control of desktops. i could go on and on but i find it a really useful management toll
